New Ant-Man 3 Image Shows Best Look Yet At Kang The Conqueror Costume

  • November 21, 2022

The best look yet at Kang the Conqueror’s costume arrives thanks to a new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania image. Jonathan Majors made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Kang during Loki season 1, where he appeared as the variant He Who Remains. Ant-Man 3 represents a much bigger role for his new MCU villain, as Kang is expected to play a central part in the Quantum Realm-set story. Marvel provided a few different glimpses at Kang’s new look in the Ant-Man 3 trailer, which included the MCU’s way of giving him a blue face just like in the comics.

The promotional campaign for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now picking up, as a new image from Empire provides the best look at Kang the Conqueror’s suit. The photo shows Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang standing face-to-face with Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. The Ant-Man 3 image gives a detailed look at Kang’s purple-armored super suit, the green cape, and the scars on his face. Check out the full image below:

Kang’s role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is one of many upcoming MCU appearances for Jonathan Majors. This will be a significant one, though, as audiences will be introduced to a more evil version of his character compared to He Who Remains in Loki. Kang’s powers should also be on display in Ant-Man 3 to some degree after He Who Remains did not demonstrate any of his abilities. It might not be clear how Kang’s story will end in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but it will leave room for much more of the character in Phases 5 and 6.

The next MCU appearance for Kang is expected to come in Loki season 2. Marvel Studios has not confirmed plans for Jonathan Majors to reprise his multiverse villain role in the Disney+ show. However, the Loki season 1 finale revealed that a variant of Kang is in charge of the Time Variance Authority that Loki is now part of. That should mean that audiences will see at least a bit more of Jonathan Majors’ villain beyond the statue of him at the TVA headquarters, especially if Loki continues to create more multiverse problems.

It is known that Jonathan Majors’ Kang will return in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, where he will be the main villain. Kang is also expected to play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, even if he is not the central antagonist again. There is a chance that upcoming MCU movies like Fantastic 4 could bring Jonathan Majors’ character back. Since Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is meant to fully introduce Kang as the Multiverse Saga’s big threat, he could make frequent appearances in MCU movies and shows after.
